Advertising as a means to make the World a more beautiful place

Boing Boing have a wonderful piece about an artist who created a billboard which appeared to be transparent - ah, it's probably easier for you to just click this link -.

Anyway, this got me thinking about the ways in which corporations often sponsor cultural events. So, why not put up billboards etc., in front of ugly scenes and provide some beauty to the World.
