Customers are never satisfied

I received my new Plantronics Audio 910 headset, yesterday, and I have to say that it is wonderful.

The headset is designed to work with both Skype, and my mobile phone. However, for me, Skype is the main target. The unit allows me to wander around the office, and still be able to answer my incoming skype calls. Hurrah, everybody shouts, followed by so what's the problem. Well, the problem is that as soon as I discovered the joys of mobile Skype, I instantly wanted to have voice dialling built into the unit. It should be such a simple addition for Plantronics to make to their software. Why isn't it here now! Whine, whine whine. Customers - who wants them! ;-)

I've tried using my bluetooth headset with Skype, but one thing I noticed about the USB dongle is that it doesn't put the headset in powersave mode when not on a call - and so the headset battery was flat within an hour. Does the Plantronics one suffer from this?

As far as I can tell, the battery life is actually very good. There is a configuration option on the Plantronics Persono software which allows you to establish the wireless link ONLY when there is a call.
