Changing the design of the blog

Every so often blog writers feel the need to redesign their sites. Maybe the colours become boring or a sudden sense of blog envy forces the writer to out-do a competitor. However, the interesting thing is that all this creative effort is completely wasted if the blog is 'consumed' through a blog reader. The reader simply grabs the content from the site and displays it in whatever form you want. Anyway, today I felt that urge and so started playing around with layouts. In my case the impetus was a new feature offered by Blogger - automatically adding my Google Reader 'shared' page. Every time I read an interesting blog entry - using Google Reader - I click the Share button, and that entry is automatically added to my shared links page. You can be automatically informed of new entries just by subscribing to my link blog. However, if you visit the blog site you will now see the five most recent entries on the top right of the screen. And the best part, is that you can do this too - almost effortlessly. Just click on the Share button to start sharing your 'interesting' links and then follow the customisation instructions for your Blog.
