Xkcd is a rather geeky cartoon strip which has gained its popularity through the Internet. In fact, I am not even sure if it could exist without it. Anyway, the photo above is an example of a trend whereby people are recreating ideas which were first expressed in the cartoon.
I am sure there is some deep social significance to all this. Something about the interplay of art and culture. Personally, it just makes me laugh and also realise that there are still quite a few people with enough spare time and enthusiasm to do things just for the fun of it. And, I for one, salute them ;-)
