One practical definition of creative problem solving is "the ability to convert problems into opportunities". I was reminded of this by the story on Guerilla Gardening covered in Boing Boing.
What really appealed to me was the idea of converting potholes into tiny gardens. It is such a wonderful way of turning something ugly and annoying into a thing of beauty - albeit briefly.
I am going to arm myself with some seeds and practice random acts of beauty ;-)
